Organization Profile:
SDSU's Global Change Research Group conducts research on the effects of global change on native ecosystems, including the Arctic tundra in Alaska, Russia, and Iceland, and Mediterranean-type ecosystems in California, Italy, and Spain; we also operate the Mediterranean CO2 Research (MedCO2RE) facility at the SDSU Sky Oaks Biological Field Station in Chihuahua Valley north of Warner Springs. The Global Change Research Group is actively engaged in promoting and improving K-12 science education. In the Pisces Project, graduate and undergraduate students can assist in the classroom, using exemplary science materials aligned to science standards. Field trips to our research facility are available, as are classroom speakers.
